  • Descrizione: An absolutist and purely feminist reading of art perpetuates the canons that feminists seek to displace. This approach does not recognize the heterogeneity in readers and the possible multiplicity of interpretation. Speaking of art in absolute terms and branding non-feminist interpretations as 'wrong' does not encourage plurality. It merely reverses the logic of the dominant male tradition and sustains the 'system.'
